FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
When did ZeroSound start?
ZeroSound was founded in April 2018 by Ray Sobol, Norm Bogner and Chad Saritson. The company’s co-founder, Ray Sobol, was inspired to create the technology after loud motorcycles on a highway kept him awake at night. He knew there had to be a better way, and the company was born.
Where is the company based?
The ZeroSound headquarters are based out of Calgary, however the product is available globally.
Can I buy the technology for my home?
Not yet, but we’re working on it. Right now this technology is only available for industrial applications. Currently, we’re committed to research and development so we can create a commercial version down the road. Thanks for your support!
How does ZeroSound’s technology work?
ZeroSound has invented a revolutionary technology to cancel global noise problems impacting where consumers live and industry works. With ZeroSound, sound waves are mitigated and/or cancelled on impact, in real time, continuously. Unlike traditional noise abatement or cancellation methods, ZeroSound can be used in tiny spaces, large areas, on pieces of equipment and every noise congested space in between.
Where can I buy the technology?
ZeroSound technology is available directly from ZeroSound for industrial applications. Currently, consumer applications are still under development.
Where can the technology be used?
ZeroSound is an extremely versatile technology that can be used basically anywhere since it’s scalable and works in both indoor and outdoor settings. The technology will work to omit sound by up to 92 per cent in tiny spaces, large areas, on pieces of equipment and every noise congested space in between.
How long does it take to install?
Depending on the application of ZeroSound will determine how long the application process will take. This can range from minutes to a few hours depending on where it will be located.
Can it be used outdoors?
ZeroSound technology is designed to be used in indoor and outdoor spaces.
Why didn’t you think of this sooner?
We get this question a lot! Quite frankly, if this technology was easy, everyone would do it. Technology has evolved in recent years to allow our hardware and software to be developed to address noise pollution as a growing global problem.
Over what frequency ranges is your device effective?
Effective frequency ranges from 60Hz to 20kHz.
Are any certifications required?
ZeroSound’s platform meets IEEE, ISO and CSA standards for electronic devices.
